WORK

Time Lapse

Motion controlled time lapse allow programmable, precise and repeatable camera movements with precise intervals so that in a given time the camera travels a defined distance during which a certain number of images are taken.

Compositing

Combining of visual elements from separate sources into single images, to create the illusion that all those elements are parts of the same scene.

Visual Effects

By means of visual effects, certain content or design accents can be added to the images. Be it to intensify their intended effect, to place the pictures in a superordinate context, or to make it possible to tell a story in the first place.

Visualization

The need for depictions of complex topics and relationships, especially in the field of science, is growing as rapidly as the possibilities to publish this content in all modern media.
In order to meet these developments and requirements, we produce visualizations of complex topics and issues.

TEAM

Thomas Knauer

Timelapse, Compositing, Visual Effects

Born in Berlin, Thomas Knauer learned the skills of a camera assistant in television, accompanied by training as a film photographer. After passing this course successfully, he worked as a camera assistant on various animal and nature documentaries, a perfect symbiosis of his connection to nature topics and the fun of exploiting technical possibilities. In the following years of his work as a cameraman for various television stations and film production companies, he completed additional training and further education on the subject of digital post-production. In 2010, together with Mario Wilhelm, he founded „visdia | ideas go visual“, a network of freelance media designers from various disciplines who can draw on many years of production experience in visualization, film and TV.
